KMK Metals Recycling Ltd. and WEEE Ireland supported Enda O'Doherty and The Pieta Challenge team with their incredible climb of Mt. Kilimanjaro in aid of Pieta House.
KMK Metals Recycling Ltd. and WEEE Ireland supported Enda and the team in their challenge donating €2,000 in sponsorship of the event.
The team climbed Africa’s highest peak all while carrying a washing machine! Enda's goal was to raise much needed funds for Pieta House and to spread a positive mental health message. He chose to carry a washing machine as it symbolised the heavy hidden load that many people carry, the importance of asking for help and sharing the load. The challenge was incredibly successful with Enda raising €171,439, surpassing his initial goal of €120,000.
