We must also operate in compliance with the requirements of several other authorisations and certifications. These include our EPA Licence, Waste Facility Permit, Waste Collection Permit, Broker/Dealer Registrations, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018 and WEEELABEX certification.
The company Integrated Management System (IMS) hosts a method for ensuring compliance with legal obligations by maintaining a framework that identifies relevant legal and other requirements and a traceable process for evaluating compliance. This framework allows us to adapt and comply with relevant legislative changes; this is also extended out to our customer base via advice and guidance.
KMK Metals Recycling’s dedicated Compliance Department maintain an extensive legal register using software provided by a reputable external supplier. This software allows us to remain up-to-date with the latest industry developments and changes to regulatory and legislative requirements.
KMK Metals Recycling is frequently inspected and audited which also allows for continual assessment and improvements to be made to legal compliance and that of compliance with other company requirements.
We maintain membership with industry associations such as the IWMA, EERA and ISME ensuring awareness of relevant legislative changes and developments coming down the line but also allowing our voice to be heard by regulators and other third parties.
