Socially-distanced sock rocking in aid of Offaly Down Syndrome Association

   Fri, 19th Mar, 2021

Colourful, crazy and odd stockinged-feet are on display in KMK Metals Recycling today, as staff working on-site or from home have been donning their brightest socks to raise awareness and money for Offaly Down Syndrome Association’s annual ‘Rock Your Socks Week’.

Rock Your Socks Week officially kicked off on Monday 15th March and runs through to World Down Syndrome Day on Sunday 21st March.

Down Syndrome Ireland continues to serve its members and anyone who needs help during these difficult times. The charity’s Member Support Team – who offer advice, support and information for all ages – are on hand to help families with children and adults who have Down syndrome throughout Ireland.

All money raised for the Offaly Down Syndrome Association this year, goes towards its music, dance and play therapies, educational programmes and a wide array of services and supports for members and their families.

It is not too late to get involved. You can proudly wear your odd socks, post a picture online, tag #RockYourSocks4ODS, make a donation by texting ODS4 to 50300 to donate €4.00, and get your friends involved too!
