KMK staff get a sneak preview and tour of the new facilities opening next year!

KMK's Olivia and Kai were treated to a sneak preview and tour of Dublin's Waste to Energy project.

The tour consisted of information about the processes and the facilities waste capacity. During the three year construction phase, the plant will employ an average workforce of 375, and there will be up to 100 jobs thereafter.

The facility can process up to 600,000 tonnes of waste per annum and can generate 60kW of electricity and district heating after its commissioning early in 2017.

There's two large boilers (that can handle 300,000T each) within the facility that incinerate the waste coming in from 12 loading bays.

Olivia and Kai were both quite impressed with what they have seen!
